It is a great pleasure to be able to share with you some of the features which make ours such a vibrant, exciting school. Children receive a quality education from committed, dedicated staff and they feel a great sense of pride in their school.
Central to the whole ethos of the school is the friendly, family atmosphere. Our school provides a happy, safe, secure and supportive learning environment where effective learning can take place. Within this framework of support and respect, children are expected to show good manners, to be polite and show courtesy and consideration for others.
The school is situated in the village of Eccleston, a pleasant semi-rural area of Lancashire, some miles east of Chorley. We are very fortunate to have extensive landscaped grounds with a partially covered area for Foundation Stage and Key Stage One, three hard surface playgrounds and a large school field. An on-going programme of developments is planned to further enhance the learning environment, both indoor and out.
There are seven light and airy classroom areas, well furnished, all with adjoining resource areas providing access to extensive ICT facilities including interactive whiteboards within each classroom and additional accommodation for group and creative work. The large hall is used throughout the day for collective worship, PE, school meals and for many after school activities. We have a well-resourced library, and a separate music and drama room for lessons and peripatetic tuition.
