Eccleston Primary School is a happy, vibrant and welcoming place. We offer high quality education for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. We provide a secure and happy environment where all children are valued, and encouraged to develop their potential - academically, socially, physically, creatively and emotionally. We expect high standards at all times, as children develop courtesy and consideration for others.

It is a great pleasure to be able to share with you some of the features which make ours such a vibrant, exciting school. Children receive a quality education from committed, dedicated staff and they feel a great sense of pride in their school.

Central to the whole ethos of the school is the friendly, family atmosphere. Our school provides a happy, safe, secure and supportive learning environment where effective learning can take place. Within this framework of support and respect, children are expected to show good manners, to be polite and show courtesy and consideration for others.

We believe that school life extends beyond the classroom. We attach great importance to the links between school and home. We always aim to ensure parents can feel welcome to discuss their children’s progress or any concerns they may have. We value the support and commitment of parents in helping us raise achievement and maintain high standards – we are partners in the process of learning.
We currently have 195 pupils on roll between the ages of 4-11, our admission number being 30.

The school is situated in the village of Eccleston, a pleasant semi-rural area of Lancashire, some miles east of Chorley. We are very fortunate to have extensive landscaped grounds with a partially covered area for Foundation Stage and Key Stage One, three hard surface playgrounds and a large school field. An on-going programme of developments is planned to further enhance the learning environment, both indoor and out.

There are seven light and airy classroom areas, well furnished, all with adjoining resource areas providing access to extensive ICT facilities including interactive whiteboards within each classroom and additional accommodation for group and creative work. The large hall is used throughout the day for collective worship, PE, school meals and for many after school activities. We have a well-resourced library, and a separate music and drama room for lessons and peripatetic tuition.

The governors, the staff, the pupils and the parents take pride in what has been created at Eccleston Primary School and are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of life and learning at the school. This website provides information you may require initially but it is only through personal contact with the pupils, staff and everyone in our community, that you can appreciate the high quality of education that we provide for all our children
