Term 1B Maple On The Move!

On the Move Learning Menu 1b

During this half term Maple will be investigating FORCES, including the use of magnets. We will be carrying out many scientific experiments and looking at how things move around us. We will also study air and water resistance as well as build our own toy car with rolling chassis.

We will be learning about The Wright Brothers who were the first people to build an aeroplane and fly it.

Walk Like An Egyptian!

This term we are learning all about Ancient Egypt. We have made a great start by learning about The River Nile and its uses. Thank you to those children who have already brought lots of things in from home. It’s been fabulous to use these resources!

Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on how mummies were created, hieroglyphs, pharaohs especially Tutankhamun and farming.

Maple’s Class Assembly

To celebrate our focus on Legends we are busy rehearsing for our Class Assembly and would love you to join us on Wednesday 10th October 9.15am.

The assembly will be filled with poems, stories and songs. Join us as we take you on a journey through Sherwood Forest to learn about the legend of Robin Hood.
