Look how small we were!
Henry has kindly brought in this class photo from when most of the class were in Reception! The class has grown quite a bit since then! Look how cute and small we were!
Outdoor Learning Day
We loved celebrating Outdoor Learning Day. We applied our English and maths skills to different problem in the school grounds. Ask us about what we did!
Our class book is Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. We are currently two thirds of the way through and we are desperate to know what will happen to the main character! We created some comprehension games to test our knowledge of the storyline and the language the author has used.
Seeing The Spark!
Our topic this half term is ‘Seeing The Spark’! We will be learning all how light, we will be:
recognising that light appears to travel in straight lines
using the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out or reflect light into the eye
explaining that we see things because light travels from light sources to our eyes or from light sources to objects and then to our eyes
using the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain why shadows have the same shape as the objects that cast them.
We’ve already got to work on our objectives so why not ask us some questions!
What a start to the year!
Year 6 have had a fantastic start to the year! We are excited for all the things to come this year. Here are some photos of us in action!
